Hi! My name is Jenica, and I fell in love with the Sonoran Desert after living in NYC for 15 years. I’ve made Tucson my home and love exploring the mountain and desert trails that surround me.
I’ve documented over 200 weddings, but I am passionate about non-traditional weddings and elopements that showcase your unique love story with beautiful natural landscapes.

There’s so many beautiful options, and it really depends on the kind of landscape that speaks to you. If you want iconic desert scenery with towering saguaros, Saguaro National Park and Gates Pass are classics, especially at golden hours.
For mountain views and cooler temps, Mount Lemmon offers pines and panoramas above the city.
And if you’re looking for something more tucked-away and rugged, heading to the Coronado National Forest or the Chiricahua Mountains are a great option to explore.

Absolutely. Many public lands, including areas within Saguaro National Park, require special use permits for ceremonies and photography. I will help you manage this and point you in the right direction. You can normally schedule up to 1 year in advance.
As for timelines, we will discuss your priorities since lighting and pacing matter to give you the best light and most enjoyable experience. Do you want sunrise or sunset coverage or both? We will make a plan!
I care deeply about Leave No Trace and we’ll make sure your day is beautiful and respectful of the land.

Observational, natural and emotionally present.
I’m not big on stiff posing or over-directing you. I’ll guide you when needed, but mostly I’m paying attention to the in-between moments, finding artful compositions and giving you space to be yourselves.

With an elopement or micro-wedding, sometimes I am literally shooting with two cameras at the same time, but most often I am quickly switching back and forth. With experience, I’ve learned what moments I need to make a complete video and how to not to overshoot photos. If something is particularly grabbing my attention, you’ll hear me say, “hold on a sec, I need to get that on video” 10 seconds later and we’re moving on :)
If it’s a bigger wedding, I’ll have a second shooter to help make sure we’ve got everything covered.

Yes, I travel throughout Arizona and the Southwest regularly.
There are no travel fees for Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Baja California Sur, Mexico.
For destinations outside the region, I create a custom flat quote that keeps things simple and transparent. The fee covers flights, transportation and lodging.
If it’s a place on my bucket list, the travel fees will be waived so maybe you’ll get lucky!

It really depends on the kind of experience you want.
For elopements and mirco-weddings, 4-6 hours is often perfect.
For full wedding days, 8-10 hours allows space and time to hit all the highlights without rushing.
I’m happy to help you think through what makes sense for your day.

Once we connect and decide we’re a good fit, I’ll send over a proposal with your custom package.
To officially book, I require a signed contract and a retainer (typically 30%). From there, your date is secured, and we start dreaming up the details together.
