For couples who want to elope somewhere they feel free

You want a laidback wedding day surrounded by epic nature. A day to do your favorite things with your partner and be completely present with each other.

Maybe that looks like making breakfast together, cuddling with your pup, or going for a little hike. Incorporating everyday rituals start your elopement day off with a calming and grounded energy.

You’ve been searching for the perfect way to distill your relationship into a extraordinary experience.

Out in the wide-open landscape, the desert’s golden glow illuminates your love. Magic out lasts longer out here :)

Eloping makes sense because you’re avoiding big stress, big budgets, and big opinions.

It seems like the easier option but guess what? Now you have decision fatigue trying to figure out the best possible plan!

Just because you’re ditching the big wedding doesn’t mean you have to ditch the support.

I’m here to guide you to your best case scenario.

Creating an elopement experience where you can be fully present

I’m your elopement photographer, filmmaker, type B planner, timeline creator, weather watcher and low-key adventure buddy

There’s a lot of noise around weddings in the form of expectations, opinions, traditions, etc. I’ve been there and I wish I had eloped.

Part of the appeal of eloping is the freedom to do what you want and celebrate in a way that feels good to you. You know your relationship better than anyone else and what this special occasion needs to truly honor it.

You know that eloping isn’t just a convenient or rushed alternative because at the end of the day, you’re still getting married. You’re just prioritizing quality and experience over quantity and traditions.

Your elopement day should feel like a glimpse into an elevated version of the life you want to live and the love you want to grow into.

Whether this is your first time wedding planning or you’re doing it differently for a second time, I design a day that feels like your relationship, not a performance of it.

I work with closely with couples to design an elopement that feels comfortable, deeply personal and intentional from beginning to end. Couples feel seen and heard and completely at ease.

Having a photographer who truly listens and earns your trust can make all the difference.

“Jenica is INCREDIBLE. She is abundant with talent, she is kind, professional and truly pure magic with her art.”

From the first phone call we had, I was completely taken with Jenica. Her understanding, patience and guidance of all aspects of capturing our wedding were invaluable. During the process, our communications were heartfelt, professional and insightful.

The wedding day was perfectly executed. She captured every moment, all while remaining in the background. I never once worried whether the day was being documented. Our wedding video and photos are proof well beyond words of the quality and caliber of work.

We couldn’t be happier with the experience and the end result. If you’re getting married, look no further- Jenica is your girl.”

Questions before booking?

FAQ’s

Do you travel? Are there travel fees?

Yes, I travel throughout Arizona and the Southwest regularly with travel included. There are also no travel fees for California, Oregon and Baja California Sur, Mexico.

For destinations outside the region, I create a custom flat quote that keeps things simple and transparent. The fee covers flights, transportation and lodging.

If it’s a place on my bucket list, the travel fees will be waived so maybe you’ll get lucky!

Do you help with permits and elopement planning?

Absolutely. Many public lands, including areas within Saguaro National Park, require special use permits for ceremonies and photography. I help manage this and point you in the right direction. You can normally schedule up to 1 year in advance.

As for timelines, we will discuss your priorities since lighting and pacing matter to give you the best light and most enjoyable experience. Do you want sunrise or sunset coverage or both? We will make a plan!

I care deeply about Leave No Trace and we’ll make sure your day is beautiful and respectful of the land.

How would you describe your shooting style?

Observational, natural and emotionally present.

I’m not big on stiff posing or over-directing you. I’ll guide you when needed, but mostly I’m paying attention to the in-between moments, finding artful compositions and giving you space to be yourselves.

How many hours of coverage do we need?

It really depends on the kind of experience you want.

For elopements and mirco-weddings, 4-6 hours is often perfect to cover ceremony and portrait essentials.

For full wedding days or elopement days with multiple locations or activities, 8-10 hours allows space and time to hit all the highlights without rushing.

I’m happy to help you think through what makes sense for your day.
